Lindenwood University maintains its hold among thetop spot in the 2018-2019 American Collegiate Hockey Association Men's Division-I Ranking, No. 12.  The Lions (18-0-0) were able to travel to the Big Pond in Champaign, Ill. and sweep the University of Illinois in a couple of nail-biters. Goaltender Cooper Seedott turned aside 45 shots on the weekend as Lindenwood won 2-1 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday.

The University of Michigan-Dearborn (13-1-1) swept a home-and-home series with Eastern Michigan University to hold onto the No. 2 spot.  Tyler Groat had four goals and Billy Brock tallied five points (goal, 4 assists) on Friday night as the Wolverines thrashed the Eagles 8-1.  The offensive onslaught continued Saturday as the Wolverines battered the Eagles once again with Tyler Groat scoring three more goals.  Kevin Bechard chipped in with two goals and two assists, while Thomas Proudlock pitched the shutout with 17 saves.

Third-ranked Adrian College came away with three wins on the weekend to eclipse the 20-win plateau (20-1-0).  The Bulldogs pitched back-to-back shutouts (9-0, 5-0) to sweep Oakland University as Joe Costello led the way with six points (3 goals, 3 assists).  The Bulldogs finished the weekend with an 11-3 drubbing of Western Michigan University on Sunday afternoon.  Costello, Rainer Glimpel, and Justin Fisher led the way offensively with two goals apiece.

Jumping up a spot to No. 4 is Iowa State University (13-4-1), which split its weekend home series with Robert Morris University Illinois.  Christopher Mallon made 43 saves on Friday night as the Eagles knocked off the Cyclones 4-3 in overtime, with Samuel Mancini notching the game-winner.  On Saturday, one goal off the stick of Colton Kramer was all the offense the Cyclones needed as Matt Goedeke made 28 saves for the 1-0 shutout victory.

Ohio University rounds out the Top 5 as the Bobcats walked all over the University of Pittsburgh on Friday night for a 12-0 victory.  Defenseman Jacob Houston had four helpers while Matt Rudin notched a hat trick for Ohio.  The second game, along with six others, was postponed due to the inclement weather that hit the east coast of the United States.

Moving into the polls this week is No. 24 Drexel University, while the University of Utah drops out of the Top 25.

The Central States Collegiate Hockey League leads the way with all five of its member teams ranked, while the Western Collegiate Hockey League has six (of 8) of its member teams ranked, the Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League has four (of 6) of its member teams ranked, and the Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League has three (of 8) of its member teams ranked.

The ACHA uses two computer rankings generated by USHSHO.com, Ranking A (Wins with Maximum Goal Differential of 7) and Ranking B (Wins with Maximum Goal Differential of 1), and come up with an average of the two rankings.  The ACHA will then use the list generated from the average for its weekly ranking.  Ties will be broken using the higher ranked team from Ranking B until the Top 25 teams are listed.  All games that go to overtime will be scored as ties in the computer ranking.
