The Illini tryouts have concluded and practice has begun for the new and returning players. There is less than a week before the Illini warm up their season with an exhibition game against the Springfield Junior Blues in Springfield, IL.

Coach Fabbrini will use that game to gauge the players strengths, weaknesses, and overall how well they play together. From there he has two weeks to come up with the best lines to face the Illini's first home opponents for the 2018-19 season, the Spartans of Michigan State University.

Coach Fabbrini feel that even though the Illini have lost some talented players after graduation, the incoming players, along with the returning veterans, the Illini will have another strong team again this season.
